Pricing and cost — UAE

What does Odoo implementation cost in the UAE? An honest guide.

Most Odoo partners don't publish prices. We think that's unhelpful. This page explains every cost component in an Odoo ERP project so you can budget realistically — whether you're in the UAE or anywhere across the GCC. Indicative ranges are shown in AED; the same cost structure applies to projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other GCC countries. Exact figures depend on your scope and are confirmed in the free Fit Assessment.

Transparency note

Prices on this page are indicative ranges based on typical project structures. Final costs are always confirmed in a written scope document before work begins. All figures shown exclude UAE VAT (5%), which applies to implementation services.

Indicative ranges only — your exact quote depends on scope, users, and modules. Book a Fit Assessment for a fixed-scope proposal.

Cost breakdown

The five components that make up your total Odoo cost.

Every Odoo ERP project has the same cost categories. Understanding each one is the first step to budgeting accurately.

1. Odoo Enterprise licences

Annual, per user + 5% VAT

Odoo Enterprise is sold per user per year. The licence covers all modules — you don't pay per module. The annual fee covers access to the platform, Odoo bug fixes, and new version releases. Prices vary by region; Odoo S.A. sets them and they change periodically.

Indicative annual licence range (per user, excl. VAT)

AED 1,100 – AED 1,500 per user / year

+ 5% UAE VAT applies. Confirmed at Fit Assessment.

Cost driver: User count. Minimise users by using Odoo's portal access for light users (vendors, contractors) and reserving full licences for active operators.

2. Implementation services

Fixed price, agreed upfront

This is the largest cost in most projects. It covers the 7 phases of our methodology: discovery, configuration, data migration, UAT, training, go-live support, and handover. We fix this price before work begins — no time-and-materials surprises.

Indicative implementation ranges (excl. VAT)

Quick-start
AED 25,000 – AED 55,000
2–4 modules, 5–15 users + 5% VAT
Mid-market
AED 60,000 – AED 180,000
5–8 modules, 15–50 users + 5% VAT
Complex / multi-entity
AED 200,000+
Custom dev, integrations, 50+ users + 5% VAT

Cost drivers: Number of modules, custom development scope, number of users to train, number of company entities, integration complexity.

3. Data migration

Included or priced separately

Migration of master data (customers, vendors, products, chart of accounts) is typically included in the implementation scope. Migration of historical transactional data (invoices, purchase orders, stock history) is priced separately based on data volume and source system complexity.

Cost drivers: Source system (Tally, QuickBooks, Excel, SAP), data quality, volume of historical records, and how far back you want to bring data.

4. Custom development

Priced separately per requirement

Standard Odoo covers most requirements for GCC businesses without modification. Where genuine gaps exist — a custom report, a specific approval workflow, an integration with a third-party system — we scope and price development as a separate line item. No custom development happens without a clear spec and your approval first.

Cost driver: Complexity and number of custom items. Our methodology is designed to minimise custom development by configuring Odoo well — often what looks like a customisation need is solved by better configuration.

5. Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)

Ongoing, annual

After go-live, we offer an Annual Maintenance Contract covering SLA-based support, Odoo version upgrades, ongoing configuration improvements, and access to the same consultant team. AMC is optional but recommended — Odoo releases new versions annually and running an unsupported version creates risk over time.

Indicative AMC range (excl. VAT)

AED 8,000 – AED 40,000 / year

Typically 15–25% of implementation value · + 5% UAE VAT

Cost driver: Scope of the implementation, SLA tier (response time, hours of support), and number of upgrade cycles.

What drives cost

The six factors that most affect Odoo implementation cost.

Number of users

Each Odoo Enterprise user requires a licence. Project cost also scales with user count for training and UAT.

Module scope

Accounting + Inventory is simpler than a full suite including Manufacturing, HR, Payroll, and E-commerce.

Data migration complexity

Clean master data from a well-structured source migrates quickly. Messy Excel files or complex legacy ERP data take longer.

Custom development

Standard Odoo handles most UAE requirements. Each custom module adds cost — we scope before we build.

Number of entities

Multi-company setups (e.g., a holding company with trading arms) require more configuration and testing.

Integrations

Connecting Odoo to a POS, marketplace, bank, or third-party logistics system adds scope and cost.

UAE VAT on implementation services

All implementation and AMC fees are subject to UAE VAT (5%).

UAE VAT at 5% applies to our professional services and implementation fees. All invoices show VAT as a separate line item — you should plan for this in your budget. Odoo Enterprise licences are sold by Odoo S.A. (Belgium) and the applicable VAT treatment depends on your entity type.

This is general information, not tax advice. Consult a licensed FTA tax agent for guidance on input VAT recovery and your specific entity's treatment.

Common questions

Odoo pricing — frequently asked questions.

Is Odoo Community (free version) an option for UAE or GCC businesses?

Odoo Community is open source and free to use, but it lacks UAE localisation (VAT reports, FTA formats), the Studio customisation tool, and Odoo's helpdesk. For businesses across the GCC that need local tax compliance — UAE VAT or KSA ZATCA — Enterprise is the right choice. We implement Odoo Enterprise.

Do I pay for Odoo licences and implementation separately?

Yes. Odoo Enterprise licences are purchased directly from Odoo S.A. (typically via an authorised partner like us). Implementation services are a separate professional services engagement. We can manage both in a single engagement so you only deal with one team.

Can I start with fewer modules and add more later?

Yes. Odoo is modular — you can start with accounting and inventory, then add manufacturing or HR later. Adding modules later is straightforward, but it's more cost-effective to plan the roadmap upfront so data structures are set correctly from the beginning.

What is included in a fixed-price Odoo implementation?

Our fixed scope covers: discovery and process mapping, module configuration to the agreed blueprint, data migration of master data, user acceptance testing, role-based training, go-live support, and project management. Anything outside the agreed scope is documented, priced, and approved before we touch it.

How do I get an accurate Odoo quote for my business?

Book a free Odoo Fit Assessment. In 45 minutes, we map your processes, confirm the right modules and user count, identify any custom requirements, and assess data migration complexity. We then provide a written indicative budget — no obligation.
